Welcome!

My name is Sarah and I write my thoughts here and these are my (baby) dreadlocks!

Chances are if you are reading this you know me on a level. What you need to know to get some idea of my perspective is that I’m in my mid-to-late twenties, I’m middle-class enough to have gone to university, and Catholic. And that I love music and have a very very eclectic yet defined musical tastes. And that I exert a lot of meaning into the music I listen to. I debated writing this blog without my Catholic-tinted glasses, but it’s too hard not to, it’s how I see the world. I only write about secular music though, so it’s largely about reconciling various viewpoints into my own world. I hope it’s interesting to you! Even if you don’t agree with anything I say, my hope is that at the very least it is interesting. A Note: I do listen to Christian music/ Praise & Worship and find it to be fruitful in my life, but I won’t be discussing it here.

I adamantly believe that who we are is incredibly more important that what we do (I may venomously exude this bias since I’m not particularly “doing” much of anything, but I really truly do believe this).

Statements I’d use to describe who I am are:

  • Creatively inclined

  • Extremely introspective person

  • Eclectic stylistic choices

  • Quietly absorbs people and surroundings

  • Deeply thoughtful, sometimes to a fault

  • Lover of all things beautiful

  • A bad, but ever-striving, Catholic

  • For those who care (these are the things I want to know about people), I’m a Melancholic/Phlegmatic, INFP, Type 4 with a 5 wing, Rebel (4 Tendencies model)
